Note i: Divisions,
Categories and Weight Brackets are dependent on numbers entered.
Any Categories and Weight Brackets with low entries will be
merged with the nearest Category to your Weight and/or Age. We
cannot guarantee sufficient entries for every Division, Category
and Weight Bracket
Please Note: The Full
Event Schedule, i.e. Start Times, Weigh Ins, Athletes Lists and
Brackets etc, will be emailed to every Registered Athlete's
email address that was used when the Athlete Registers Online,
and will receive the email on Thursday 25th August 2011.
Weigh In Note:
If an Athlete is attending and Competing at Both Events, then they will only be required to be
weighed in once.
Note: There are
no refunds of any Athlete entry fees once they have been paid,
for the exception of the Event/s being cancelled, if this be the
case, only then will you receive a full refund of entry fees
paid

Instructor/Coach: Only
one Instructor or Coach will receive a Free Entry Pass providing
there are a minimum of 3 Athletes entered from the
Instructor's/Coach's Club/Team/Academy/Group/Organisation

DECLARATION:
Terms, Conditions and Waiver.
(PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, REGISTRATION FOR ALL UMA
NGB OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS ACKNOWLEDGES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS, CONDITIONS
AND WAIVER).
The
Organiser, Promoters, Officials and Referee’s, Judges,
Officials, Staff, Venue and the UMA NGB’s Insurers etc, cannot
and will not be held responsible should a breach of our Rules
take place. By Entering any of our Open Championship Events you
omit to the Fact that you and your Athletes are in compliance
with this ruling.
By
sending the UMA NGB Entries and Entering your Athletes,
Students, Team, Club, Association, Organisation or Associates
etc, in these Open Championships you, your, Club, Athletes,
supporters and Spectators therefore fully agree to abide by the
Rules and Regulations as set down by the UMA NGB, and hence you
fully absolve the UMA NGB, its Officers, the Venue, Equipment,
Organisers, Officials, Referee’s, Judges, Athletes and
Spectators etc, of any responsibility for any injury, loss or
death, however caused, accidentally or intentionally by anyone,
as the UMA NGB and its Officers etc, cannot and will not be held
responsible or liable etc, by either the Athletes, Referees,
Organisers and the UMA NGB or any acting participant at the Open
Championships etc.
You
hereby assume full responsibility and liability for all damages,
injuries and losses that you or your Athletes may sustain or
incur while participating in or watching the Open Championships.
You realise that serious injury is commonplace in martial arts
tournaments such as the one you or your Athletes are hereby
entering and that death is a possibility. You also realise that
if you are injured, you might be disfigured, disabled and/or
rendered unable to work again. By entering into this competition
you agree to and fully accept and assume liability for any and
all injuries that you may incur expressly give up and waive any
and all claims that you or anyone acting on my behalf or through
you or the Athlete might have against the promoters the UMA NGB,
operators, sponsors, officials, participants, non-participants,
and their agents, employees and representatives for any injury
regardless of its nature, effect or affect on me as a result of
yours or your Athletes participation and/or presence at the Open
Championships. You authorise, and agree to hold harmless,
whatever medical personnel that may be present at the Open
Championships to take any action necessary, should you or your
Athletes become injured.
You
further understand that tickets will be sold to Spectators to
watch the Open Championships; that news media and others might
cover the Open Championships and that it may also be videotaped
or otherwise shown to audiences around the world. You and your
Athletes hereby expressly and irrevocably forever consent to
having your likeness shown, publicised, commented and/or
reported on; and you or your Athletes do not expect to, and in
fact waive any compensation you might otherwise be entitled to
as a result thereof. You represent that you and/or your
Registered Athletes are in good health; that you are not
presently, nor will you or your Athletes participate while under
the influence of any drug or medication; that no one affiliated
with this Championship Event has encouraged you or your Athletes
to enter or made any representations regarding yours or your
Athletes fitness or ability to participate; that you and your
Athletes have read and understood every provision of this
release; and that you and your Athletes are legally competent to
and freely enter into this waiver, release and assumption of
risk agreement.
If an
Athletes registration application is accepted and the Athlete
permitted to compete, the Organiser hereby expressly reserves
the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, with or without
cause, to change, modify or otherwise edit information contained
upon a the registration/entry form, including but not limited
to: the Athletes Academy/Club name and Affiliation and/or the
Athletes name and/or nickname. The Organiser likewise expressly
reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, with or
without cause, to add or remove an Athlete from the Absolute
Division. Changes to an Athletes registration/entry form
including but not limited to Academy/Club Affiliation will be
permitted up to one business day before the registration/entry
deadline. There will be no changes permitted to an Athletes
registration or Entry etc, after that time. If an Athlete or
coach of an Athlete wishes to make a change, any such change(s)
are strictly limited to: Athletes name/nickname, Academy/Club
Affiliation and those member’s of the Academy/Club that will be
Competing in the Absolute Division. The Head Coach of a Club
shall be granted the right to change Athletes registration
information. Such changes are limited to: division, Weight
Bracket, Athletes name/nickname, Academy/Club Affiliation and
those member’s of the Academy/Club that will be competing in the
Absolute Weight Division (should one be held).
You
further understand that you and your Athletes are responsible
for checking and must check the registration information for the
Open Championships on the website on the registration list for:
division, Weight Bracket, Academy/Club, age, and name
information by the specified registration check day. You further
understand that the registration check day is the last possible
day to make any corrections (including typographical errors made
by the Organisers), to your registration information for the
Open Championships. You understand and acknowledge that after
the registration check day, no changes will be made and no
refunds will be given. You understand that if you don’t verify
your information and send a notification for the correction by
the specific time, no changes are permitted after that time and
any mistakes in the divisions or Weight Brackets, whether or not
caused by the UMA NGB, may lead to my immediate
disqualification. The Organiser hereby expressly reserves the
right, in its sole and absolute discretion, with or without
cause to deny a potential Athlete registration/application for
permission to compete in the Championship. The term Athlete may
be used interchangeably. If any dispute arises out of, or is any
way related to yours, your members, supporters, Spectators and
your Athletes participation in this event, by entering your
registration application, you are hereby expressly waiving and
giving up your right to the make any legal claim in court and a
trial by jury. The word “dispute” as used above refers to
anything, including claims for injury (which you have already
waived) that may have occurred or you claim did not occur at the
Open Championships.
In
the case of Athletes under 18 years of age.
Furthermore, if the Athlete is
under 18 years of age, you hereby certify that
you are either the parent and/or legal guardian of the any named
minor Athlete who has been given my express permission to
compete in any of the UMA NGB’s Open Championships for which you
are Registering. And, that you have read and understood every
provision of the release of liability and that you are legally
competent to and freely enter into this release of liability and
assume all risk on behalf of the (Athlete) named herein
and any and all successors, assigns or any other representative
acting upon the Athletes behalf.
By
Registering and entering either yourself, you’re Club/Academy,
Supporters, Spectators and Athletes etc, in any UMA NGB Open
Championship Event you fully agree and abide by all the above
rulings.
