U.M.A.'s Chief Officer Carl Fisher's Combat Base Bolton BJJ Academy
Combat Base Bolton starts the
new year with a permanent base for team members; located at Linnyshaw Mill, 260
Manchester Rd, Walkden, M28 3TR, BJJ classes are Monday and Wednesday
7.00pm-8.30pm. In addition MMA classes are held by Wolfslair pro fighter Aaron
Wilkinson and run after the BJJ classes 8.30pm-10.00pm. The unit also houses
Monton Judo Club on Tuesday and Thursday nights times TBC; the Judo club is
celebrating its 30th year in existence, a unique landmark achievement for any
martial arts club. The floor space is state of the art Tatami finish metre
square mats, 102 square metres overall and finished with 50mm wall cladding,
making it one of the largest mat spaces in the Greater Manchester area.
U.M.A. and Combat Base Seminars and Competitions are lined up for the coming
year and an open invitation is offered to all UMA and UMA affiliated clubs to
come and train and make use of the facilities.
